I found Haloumi, my favourite cheese, at Carrefour on Wednesday. It made me very happy :), but also a little homesick. Isn't it funny how food can conjure such strong memories...??? So I cooked myself a yummy, comfort food meal! Below is a lentil, brown rice and veggie mix, with grilled haloumi on top. Yum! In the mix I put some currents, onion, carrot, zucchini and beans. I drizzled lemon juice and olive oil over it all for a kicking finish.
This weekend, I am baking some cakes. If you are all lucky, I will bring some in to class for breakfast :)
Do you have a sweet tooth? Here are somethings I made earlier :)
Apple cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and almonds
Red velvet cupcakes
Greek traditional dessert - Bogatsa - made with custard in the middle
